This is a Bruce Lovins Saddle made in Alexandra Kentucky.
Bruce Lovins died in 1962. NO ONE makes anything like this today! His saddles are true pieces of Americana! They were made using German Silver, Monel, Nickel and Aluminum metals.
This American Parade Saddle called the GRAND CHAMPION mounted in German silver, perhaps for a woman or a child comprising saddle with the cantle and horn completely encased in German silver and roll-engraved with scrolling foliage, upper fenders and stirrup-fenders each decorated with tooled rose foliage and enriched with a continuous pattern of chased diamond-shaped appliques at intervals mounted with an Indian head in full headdress, with martingale, breastplate, side pieces and large tapederos decorated en suite, and in fine condition throughout. Very much resembles Bohlin's style.
