Native American Artifacts

The Indian of the past occupied the United States thousands of years before
our ancestors ever knew such a country existed. They acquired a great
knowledge for the means of living off of the land.
They domesticated the most promising of America’s wild plants, and thus, by experience, their knowledge and achievement laid an economic foundation
for the future of the United States.
From their religiously spiritual visions on being in touch with the land and the spirits,
they established a strength and culture that the white man did not understand.
The extent to which they decorated themselves in the colorfully beaded, feathered and painted cloth and headdress was a visual like no other.
They were the founders of many plant remedies and medicines that the white man would acquire over time. It cannot be denied that the American Indian
has an important place in our history.
